Aloha all — we are RootsKai, an alternative rock reggae band with a burst of jazzy influence, born between the islands of Kauaʻi and Oʻahu.

RootsKai grew out of the original band KaiRoots, carrying forward that same island soul with a fresh new energy. For over 11 years, we’ve been known for taking classic songs and reimagining them with our own unique style — blending reggae rhythms, rock drive, and soulful jazz-inspired grooves into something that’s distinctly our own.

Our debut album “Uprising” is now streaming on all major platforms — a heartfelt collection that celebrates growth, connection, and the spirit of aloha.
